RN Position Job Notes

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details

Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

Full-time position available

Care for diverse patient population including orthopedic, colorectal, urology, sepsis, small bowel obstruction, and geriatric gynecology patients

Provide routine and complex nursing care with ability to focus on long-range goals and plans

Practice independently while demonstrating awareness of all relevant clinical situations

Utilize nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation

Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families

Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side-effects and effectiveness

Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided

Assess learning needs and provide patient/family education

Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers

Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred

1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred

BLS certification required (AHA only)

RN License in Texas or compact state required
