Batch Technician

Job Description

Join our team as a Batch Technician where you will play a crucial role in producing various types of hot sauces. This position involves working closely with supervisors to ensure the accurate mixing of ingredients according to recipes. You will be part of a team dedicated to maintaining high production standards in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with supervisors to add frozen ingredients into large production mixers.
• Use a computer to accurately read and follow ingredient lists and batching materials.
• Collect and prepare the correct ingredients for each production run.
• Mix batches correctly according to specific recipes.
• Lift and manage ingredients weighing 30-50 lbs consistently.
• Prepare for future batches by organizing and staging ingredients.
• Clean work areas and dispose of packaging materials.
• Monitor production processes and prepare for upcoming production tasks.

Essential Skills

• Proven ability to work in a physical environment with regular lifting of 30-50 lbs.
• Experience in a general production environment.
• Basic computer interaction skills.
• Ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Good job tenure and reliability.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Willingness to work in a clean, food-producing environment with consistent odors from vegetables, vinegars, and spices.
• Previous experience working overnight shifts.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs consistently.

Work Environment

The work environment is an air-conditioned setting with spice and vinegar odors. The first shift operates Monday to Friday from 4:00 am to 2:30 pm, with potential work on Saturdays. The second shift runs Monday to Friday from 1:00 pm to 11:30 pm, also with some Saturdays. Overtime and Saturday work may be more frequent in the short term due to increased demand. You will be working in a colder environment alongside many production associates.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Marcos, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
