Job Description

As a Security Officer Standing Position in San Marcos, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Standing Position Officer at a luxury retail location, where you will maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. In this role, you will support a welcoming environment through strong communication, teamwork, and integrity while responding to site needs with agility and professionalism.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to visitors, shoppers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site leadership and/or local authorities when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, sales floor areas, entrances, exits, stockroom corridors, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor for suspicious behavior, assist with access and crowd flow at entry points, and document security-related incidents, observations, and/or maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
• Support loss prevention efforts by observing customer and employee activity, reporting unusual conduct, and assisting with post orders related to high-value merchandise and store opening and closing routines.

Minimum Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
