Multiple shifts available, including on-call as needed and one weekend per month, approximately 7 days per month.

Job Description

The competent Nurse, in a clinical setting, practices independently and demonstrates an awareness of all relevant aspects of patient care. The role involves providing both routine and complex care, developing long-term goals, and effectively managing clinical contingencies.

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Addreses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administers medications and treatments according to protocols; monitors for side effects and effectiveness.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided.
• Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and caregivers.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred).
• At least 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty (preferred).
• BLS certification required (AHA only).
• Current RN License in the state of Texas or compact.
