Registered Nurse (RN) – Clinical Care

Schedule

7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, with weekend requirements every other weekend.

Job Description

The competent Nurse practices independently in the clinical setting and demonstrates awareness of all relevant aspects of patient care. The RN provides routine and complex care while effectively managing contingencies and long-range goals.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to provide care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments according to protocols, and monitor for side effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given accurately.
• Assess learning needs and provide necessary education to patients, family members, and caregivers.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred.
• One year of experience in a related nursing specialty is preferred.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only).
• Active RN License in the state of Texas or compact license.
