Legal Administrative Assistant

Small North County law office that focuses on estate planning for individuals, trust administration, legal entities, and non-profits, is looking for a qualified candidate with previous office, clerical, and customer service experience for a Legal Administrative Assistant position.

Responsibilities include providing legal administrative support to attorneys and staff with tasks such as:

  • Assist with preparation and drafting of various forms, documents, communications, gathering general information for documents, and filing documents with government entities.
  • General administrative support to assist attorneys and office staff with clerical duties, such as preparing files, copying, scanning, filing, communications, data entry, word processing, and maintaining databases.
  • Client contact and follow up, scheduling and confirming appointments, greeting clients, and assisting with meetings.
  • Other delegated duties, assigned projects, general clerk/office duties, and miscellaneous tasks as needed.

  • Ability to provide support to attorneys, staff, and clients in a high volume, time sensitive, and collaborative atmosphere.
  • Possess exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to prioritize conflicting needs and transition effectively between tasks.
  • Responsible and reliable, maintaining accountability and consistency - in tracking projects to completion, meeting deadlines, timely responses, and scheduling follow-up tasks.
  • Experienced with providing exceptional, responsive customer service and follow-up for both clientele and staff.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and adept in proofreading and producing accurate detailed document drafts and data.
  • Previous administrative/clerical office experience and customer service preferred.

Additional Job Details

Full time: 40 hours weekly

Schedule: Monday through Friday, Business hours: 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Work Location: One location – San Marcos, CA.

Setting: Legal Office

Salary: $ 20/per hour
