We’re looking for an Austin/San Marcos area–based Business Development & Sales Professional who knows how to cultivate relationships, identify opportunities, and close deals. This person will be essential to expanding our client base and connecting with organizations that can benefit from HCTG’s managed IT, cybersecurity, and technology leadership services.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage, nurture, and convert warm leads from marketing, referrals, and networking
  • Proactively build new relationships through outreach and community engagement
  • Identify organizations that align with our ideal client profile and initiate conversations
  • Lead consultative discovery calls to understand business needs and recommend the right HCTG services
  • Partner with marketing on campaigns, follow‑up strategies, and messaging alignment
  • Track all sales activity, notes, and opportunities in our CRM
  • Provide regular updates on your pipeline, conversion metrics, and forecast
  • Represent HCTG at select industry, chamber, and community events (virtual and in‑person)
  • Collaborate closely with our operations and technical teams to ensure smooth onboarding for new clients

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in business development or B2B sales — ideally in managed services, IT, cybersecurity, or technology consulting
  • A trustworthy team player who builds rapport quickly and delivers on commitments
  • Excellent communication skills — written, verbal, and interpersonal
  • Self‑driven, organized, and disciplined with follow‑up and pipeline management
  • Comfortable working in a CRM and tracking KPIs
  • Ability to simplify complex technical concepts so clients feel confident and informed
  • A positive, solutions‑oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and improve
  • Coachable and open to feedback — non‑negotiable for this role

Schedule & Compensation

  • Part‑time or contract role (20–25 hours/week), with opportunity to expand into full‑time based on performance
  • Hybrid: some on‑site/in‑person work in the Austin/San Marcos region, with remote flexibility
  • Monthly pay plus commission structure
  • Total compensation based on experience, sales track record, and ability to drive growth

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of successful B2B closing experience
  • Microsoft 365 proficiency
  • CRM proficiency (HubSpot experience a plus)
  • Experience selling IT or professional services preferred

Job Types: Part‑time, Contract

Location: Hybrid – Austin/San Marcos, TX

Pay: $34,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
