Accountant

A family office property management company seeking a full-time accounting and finance professional with a minimum of five years in senior-level accounting position to oversee daily accounting operations, coordinate, manage and report on the company's financial activities for multiple properties and entities.

The position requires experienced competency for administering all activities relating to the general ledger, accounts payable, and general accounting transactions. Will work directly with the operations executive team and communicate directly with the external CPAs. Must be able to handle multi-entity accounting, have extensive knowledge in Quickbooks, understand depreciation and capital expenditures, with experience in private company and internal accounting.

Applicant must be dependable and detail-oriented looking for stability and long-term work over corporate climbing who takes pride in running clean accurate books, is self-directed and proactive, and can work closely with operations executive team but doesn’t need constant direction.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Manage daily bookkeeping
  • Work with external CPA for business and tax filings
  • Prepare year-end books for CPA
  • Maintain fixed asset / depreciation schedules
  • Prepare journal entries
  • 1041’s, 1065’s, SMLLCs, 1040’s – track extensions and filings
  • Make tax payments, track estimates for several entities and individuals
  • File 1099’s & 1098’s, Sales & Use Tax filings, 571-L filings
  • Bank reconciliations and credit cards
  • Produce Financial Reports – Income Statements, Balance Sheets & Cash Flow Statement
  • Internal invoicing and recording of internal family funds to keep balance sheets balanced

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $48.00 per hour
