Job Overview

- Supervise daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation, to meet quality standards.
- Manage inventory control and cost management by monitoring food supplies, minimizing waste, and optimizing procurement processes.
- Oversee all food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Coordinate with the catering and banquet teams to deliver seamless event execution with exceptional food quality.
- Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment focused on continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Oversee shift management, ensuring smooth operation during busy periods while maintaining high standards of service and efficiency.
- Collaborate with restaurant management to plan menus that cater to dietary needs and enhance overall guest satisfaction.
- Implement training programs related to food handling, culinary techniques, and safety procedures to uphold best practices across the kitchen.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and control stock levels to support operational needs without excess waste.
Skills
- Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in fine dining environments.
- Proven supervising experience leading diverse kitchen teams effectively.
- Strong knowledge of food production processes, menu planning, and food management strategies.
- Experience in banquet settings, catering services, or large-scale event kitchens is highly desirable.
- Expertise in inventory management, cost control, and food safety regulations.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork.
- Proficiency in kitchen management software and inventory control systems.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with front-of-house teams and vendors.
- Knowledge of dietary accommodations and special menu requirements for diverse guests.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently during shift changes or busy service hours.
