Groundskeeper

Preservation and aesthetics are the face of any business. A Groundskeeper, under the supervision of the Director of Agronomy and Lake & Grounds Manager, will perform golf course ground maintenance duties.

The duties of a Groundskeeper include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Maintain greens, trees, fairways, vegetation, and landscaped areas.
  • Prepare and maintain golf course grounds according to standards.
  • Mow greens, trees/aprons, and the ability to use larger mowing equipment.
  • Prepare and plant sod, trees, shrubs, and flowers.
  • Clean and perform routine maintenance on ground maintenance equipment and tools.
  • Operate riding and pushing mowers, weed-eater, blowers, edgers, trimmers, over seeders, rototillers, sod cutters, wood-chippers, hand and power tools, and other ground maintenance tools and equipment.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned by Property or Corporate Management

Requirements

  • Ability to learn methods in performing general grounds maintenance and reconstruction work.
  • Understand and follow oral and written directions.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • Work in a temperature extreme environment
  • Ability to finish tasks with a high degree of quality and in a timely manner.
  • Be a team player.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines, including the use of proper PPE as required by OSHA laws when performing work duties that have the potential of risk to your health or safety:

o A back support belt, protective gloves and eye protection may be required on rare occasions.

o Ergonomically correct workstation - please report any deficiencies.
