The primary responsibilities of a Production Assembly-Tunning Technician include inspecting parts used in various assemblies, understanding the use of each part, building assemblies according to assembly drawings and work instructions, and testing assemblies according to test procedures. The technician assembles each part or assembly into a complete instrument, connects and tunes the instrument to meet in-house or customer-specific requirements using computers and various test programs, saves the data, and completes all required paperwork and processes to move the instrument to the calibration lab.

General Responsibilities

· Knowledge of common hand tools and how to use them appropriately.

· Assemble any required parts, assemblies, or instruments in accordance with the appropriate assembly drawings or work instructions while following company quality and safety guidelines.

· Identify and isolate non-conforming parts and create a Non-Conformance Report (NCR) detailing the issue.

· Knowledge of troubleshooting issues, general operation of assigned instrument, tunning of the instrument, and the ability to complete all required paperwork and computer testing to meet specifications.

· Work at a fast pace while ensuring safety and accuracy are maintained.

· Set up and operate production equipment using tools and computer connections while utilizing Mensor’s ERP system and production software, in accordance with current good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures.

· Keep work areas clean and free of safety hazards and obstructions.

· Report any issues that might negatively impact quality or current and future production schedules to the Production Engineer or Director of Operations.

· Responsible for maintaining and improving 5S standards of workplace organization and actively participating in continuous improvement initiatives, projects and events.

· Perform other duties as requested by Director of Operations.

· Willing to be trained and to train others.

Work Environment

· Occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock.

· Occasionally exposed to risks of burn by soldering tools.

· Independent work, as well as teamwork, in a fast-paced environment.

Skills, Knowledge, Abilities.

Although on-the-job training will be provided, the applicant must have basic mechanical aptitude and a desire to grow their skills, knowledge, and abilities.

· High school diploma or GED, or equivalent work experience.

· Must have basic reading and math skills.

· Must have excellent manual dexterity.

· Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.

· Must be able to use basic hand tools and some basic electrical.

· Ability to read basic schematic a plus.

· Must be able to learn how to use the company’s ERP system and Microsoft Office programs to obtain bills of materials, time reporting, and access other job-related information.
