Your Role

As a Security and Loss Prevention Associate, your primary responsibility will be to proactively prevent shortages stemming from internal and external theft, fraud, and documentation errors. You will report to the Assistant Store Manager, Operations.

What You'll Do

• Lead Associate Education and Awareness programs.
• Detect and apprehend shoplifters, supporting investigations involving employees.
• Identify and report gaps in Merchandise Protection Standards through our Loss Prevention Audit Program.
• Participate in team-driven Loss Prevention initiatives aimed at minimizing inventory loss and protecting profits.
• Report any violations of company policies to Loss Prevention leadership.
• Manage the opening and closing of the building, including arming and disarming the alarm system.
• Document all Loss Prevention incidents, secure evidence, and prepare detailed reports. You may also need to testify as a witness in legal proceedings.
• Monitor CCTV footage to identify incidents of dishonesty and enforce store policies.
• Conduct investigations into worker's compensation claims and public liability accidents.
• Initiate and manage investigations into loss prevention activities related to internal, external theft, and fraud.

What You Bring

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in loss prevention, security, or a related field, with a solid grasp of investigative methods.
• The ability to gather and analyze complex data to identify patterns and potential issues.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members across departments, ensuring thorough documentation of investigations.
• Knowledge of legal and regulatory guidelines relevant to loss prevention and asset protection.
• Capability to independently manage multiple investigations and prioritize tasks efficiently.
• Proficiency in utilizing loss prevention technologies and software, including CCTV systems and incident management tools.
