Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Construction Estimator (Commercial) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects, collaborating with clients and subcontractors, and supporting project teams throughout the bidding process. Your expertise will help us secure profitable projects while maintaining our commitment to quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare comprehensive construction cost estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications, and scope of work using estimating software such as HeavyBid.
  • Collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to develop accurate pricing strategies and negotiate contracts effectively.
  • Review construction drawings and technical documents to identify potential risks or cost-saving opportunities.
  • Assist in the development of bid proposals, ensuring all aspects of the project are accurately priced and documented.
  • Conduct site visits when necessary to gather on-the-ground information that impacts estimates and project planning.
  • Monitor project costs during execution to support cost control initiatives and ensure profitability.
  • Maintain detailed records of all estimating activities, contracts, and project documentation for future reference.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in construction estimating within commercial projects, with a strong understanding of construction management processes.
  • Proficiency in estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam for digital document management and bid preparation.
  • Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with clients and subcontractors.
  • Solid knowledge of construction site operations, contracts, pricing strategies, and cost control methods.
  • Prior experience in construction site work or management is highly desirable to understand field realities.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple bids simultaneously.

Pay: $60,926.03 - $73,373.28 per year
