Role and Responsibilities

In the Store Inventory Associate role, you will support inventory movement from receiving areas to sales floor locations while maintaining safety, organization, and inventory accuracy. You will work alongside fellow associates to ensure merchandise is consistently stocked and the shopping environment remains dependable and well-maintained for members.

  • Unload delivery trucks and move merchandise to designated sales floor areas or backroom storage locations.
  • Confirm shipment quantities and inspect merchandise to ensure quality and accuracy standards are met.
  • Maintain orderly, clean aisles, shelves, and stockroom areas while reducing potential safety hazards.
  • Rotate products according to established procedures, including monitoring expiration dates and product freshness.
  • Provide courteous and professional assistance to members when support is needed.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to complete daily stocking and merchandising tasks on schedule.
  • Recognize and report damaged merchandise, inventory discrepancies, or operational issues to leadership.
  • Follow all company policies, safety practices, and equipment operation guidelines.

Required Skills and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to safely lift, carry, and move merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Basic knowledge of inventory handling or stock management processes.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Comfort using handheld devices or inventory tracking tools.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in retail stocking, warehouse assistance, or inventory-related positions.
  • Experience using pallet jacks, forklifts, or similar warehouse equipment.
  • Understanding of safety standards and best practices in retail or warehouse environments.
