Early Childhood Pre-Kindergarten Teacher Aide

Position: Early Childhood Pre-Kindergarten 3-4 Teacher Aide - Full Time

San Marcos Academy is seeking an enthusiastic Pre-K teacher aide to assist in guiding our preschool through the spring semester of the school year. The candidate selected for this position will assist the Pre-K teachers in educational and Christian ministry activities. Candidates must have patience, compassion, and energy. They should be able to inspire, encourage, and manage three and four-year-olds with varying capabilities, challenges, and personalities.

Creativity and organizational skills are essential for planning and executing lessons to prepare these children for Kindergarten. This is a full-time position.

Position Details

• Assist the teachers in creating, directing, and coordinating the instruction and Christian ministry of the early childhood program
• Assist the teachers in meeting the curriculum standards of TEA for preschool programs in preparation for Kindergarten TEKS
• Communicate clearly and positively with students and all stakeholders
• Safety and cleanliness of the environment
• Supervision of children

Requirements

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Pursuing Early Childhood Education degree preferred
• Previous preschool experience preferred
