Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) – Overnight Shift (10 PM – 6 AM) at San Marcos Treatment Center, a 212‑bed psychiatric residential facility serving children and adolescents aged 6‑17 in Central Texas.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical assessments of patients and implement treatment plans.
• Administer medications as prescribed.
• Provide comprehensive documentation of patient care.
• Educate patients and families regarding health and treatment.
• Serve as shift supervisor of Mental Health Associates, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment.
• Assist in management of the therapeutic milieu and address crisis situations.
• Provide direct patient care and medical management of children, adolescents, and young adults.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing school.
• One year psychiatric or neuropsychiatric experience with adolescents or young adults in a long‑term or residential setting preferred.
• Current Texas professional nurse license and valid driver license.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; maintain confidentiality of patient and employee information.
• Effective organizational skills and ability to implement patient care services within discipline.
• Strong supervisory skills and mental ability to carry out essential job functions.
• Ability to initiate and implement all phases of the nursing process and provide safe nursing care.
