Shop Mechanic - Mobile Cranes

An award-winning global provider of quality lifting solutions is looking to add a Shop Crane Mechanic to their growing and successful team of professionals

Shift: M-F Day Shift (5-10 hours of OT on average)

Pay Range: $35-$45 plus Sign-on Bonus

Job Summary

• Shop Crane Mechanics maintain and repair trucks, truck-mounted cranes, and railroad equipment.
• Perform diagnostics and inspections to identify worn or damaged parts.
• Repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, including powertrains, brakes, and steering.
• Conduct preventive maintenance, part upgrades, and winterization procedures.
• Verify vehicle performance through test drives and system adjustments.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Maintain vehicle appearance and keep accurate service records.
• Work with Parts and Service Departments to manage inventory and provide customer support.
• Assist with customer inquiries, quotes, and satisfaction monitoring.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years as a Shop Crane Mechanic or Mobile Crane Technician.
• Familiar with CANBUS, PAT, EKS, ECOS, LICCON, and Greer systems.
• Shop Crane Mechanics must be proficient in inspecting parts, reading blueprints, and testing mechanical, electronic, electrical, and hydraulic systems to meet OEM specifications.
• Accurately completes work reports, time sheets, work orders, and expense reports.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record (required for field positions).
• Flexibility for overtime and occasional travel. Shop Crane Mechanics work 40-50 hours a week in the shop.

Shop Crane Mechanic Preferred Qualifications: History of working with different forms of mobile crane equipment, specifically Grove RT and TMS Cranes; Grove GMK European Cranes; Manitowoc, Liebherr, Terex, Palfinger, IMT, Cormach, National, Demag, Manitex, etc.
