Law Enforcement Officer

Join the team dedicated to protecting significant national sites and dignitaries. As a Law Enforcement Officer, you will provide security for The White House Complex, The Vice President's Residence, The Main Treasury Building and Annex, and foreign diplomatic missions and embassies. You'll also travel to support Presidential, Vice Presidential, and foreign heads of state/government missions.

Requirements

• Must be at least 20 years old and under 37 years old at the time of receiving a conditional job offer. Previous service in a Federal Civilian Law Enforcement position may be eligible for different age considerations.
• Veterans with preference need a conditional job offer before reaching age 40 to continue the application process.
• Ability to carry and use a firearm; maintaining firearm proficiency is mandatory.
• Visual acuity requirements: Uncorrected no worse than 20/100 binocular, corrected 20/20 or better in each eye.
• Must pass a drug test prior to appointment and random drug testing throughout employment.
• Complete 12 weeks of intensive training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) and 17 weeks of specialized training at the James J. Rowley Training Center.
• Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must certify registration with the Selective Service System or provide exemption documentation.
