Overview

The Warehouse Lead oversees daily warehouse operations to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient movement of materials in an industrial manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for coordinating workflow, monitoring inventory accuracy, training team members, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to meet production, quality, and safety goals. This role reports to Warehouse Manager.

You will be required to work onsite at our facility located at 100 Thermon Dr. San Marcos, Texas.

Working schedule: Monday to Friday, working hours, 7:00am-4:00pm.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities include

Operational Leadership

  • Lead daily warehouse activities including receiving, material handling, putaway, picking, staging, and shipping.
  • Assign tasks and monitor team performance to ensure schedules and priorities are met.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for warehouse associates during the shift.

InventoryMaterial Control

  • Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and proper material transactions.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in coordination with production and supply chain teams.
  • Ensure proper labeling, storage, and documentation of all materials.

SafetyCompliance

  • Enforce all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and OSHAcompliant practices.
  • Conduct routine inspections of warehouse equipment and tools.
  • Identify and address unsafe conditions and escalate issues promptly.

TrainingDevelopment

  • Train new and existing employees on warehouse processes, equipment operation, and safety procedures.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to promote performance improvement and teamwork.

ProcessContinuous Improvement

  • Recommend and help implement operational improvements to enhance efficiency and material flow.
  • Support lean manufacturing, 5S, and other continuous improvement activities.

CommunicationCoordination

  • Collaborate with production, procurement, and logistics teams to meet schedule requirements.
  • Provide timely updates on workflow status, issues, and key performance indicators.

Qualifications

Required

  • 1+ year in a lead or senior warehouse role.
  • 3+ years of warehouse or material handling experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP software (AX is a plus).
  • Certified or experienced in operating forklifts and material-handling equipment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Preferred

  • Experience with lean manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement practices.
  • Knowledge of shipping/receiving documentation and logistics workflows.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, crouching, reaching, and climbing throughout the shift.
  • Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other materialhandling equipment safely.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions, including lifting, scanning, and handling materials.
  • Must be able to work in a warehouse environment with temperature fluctuations, noise, and moving equipment.
  • Ability to stand and walk continuously for 8-12 hour shifts as required by operational demands.
  • Visual acuity to read labels, operate equipment, and navigate warehouse spaces safely.
  • Ability to wear required PPE such as steeltoe boots, safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.
