Utility Operator

Pay: $18/hr

Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00am-5:00pm

This individual will be responsible for setting up machines for production runs. The ideal candidate should be able to lift 50 pounds or more repetitively and stand for extended periods, up to 10 to 12 hours.

Responsibilities

• 1 to 2 years of experience in plastics manufacturing.
• Ability to focus on quality control processes.
• Bilingual preferred
• Set up and prepare machines for production runs.
• Change and ensure rolls are installed correctly; perform minor adjustments such as changing Teflon, cleaning rollers and seal bars, and adjusting bag sizes during the production process.
• Maintain knowledge of films and finished products to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Ensure that bag measurements meet specified requirements and standards.
• Have a comprehensive understanding of quality specifications related to our products.
• Conduct seal strength testing at designated intervals and accurately record the results.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team.
• Exhibit excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Capability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively.
• Ability to stand for 12 hours and work overtime as needed.
• Possess mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
