Hays Co. Outfitters is a locally owned outdoor lifestyle retailer rooted in the Texas Hill Country. With locations in San Marcos and Buda, we carry thoughtfully curated outdoor, footwear, and lifestyle brands and pride ourselves on creating a welcoming, community-driven shopping experience.
We’re looking for outgoing, dependable team members who love the outdoors, appreciate great products, and genuinely enjoy connecting with people.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience through authentic conversations and product knowledge
- Assist customers with footwear fitting, apparel styling, and gear recommendations
- Open and/or close the store (Key Holder role) and support daily store operations
- Help maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floors
- Support merchandising, inventory, and restocking
- Represent Hays Co. Outfitters’ brand values on the sales floor every day
What We’re Looking For
- A passion for the outdoors, comfort footwear, and the brands we carry
- Someone who loves talking to people and helping customers find the right product
- Reliable, positive, and team-oriented attitude
- Retail experience preferred, but not required (Key Holder requires prior retail experience)
- Ability to work weekends and some holidays
- Comfortable standing, moving, and lifting throughout a shift

Schedule & Pay
- Part-time opportunities available
- Competitive hourly pay (based on experience)
Pay: $12.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5.0 – 25.0 per week
