Automotive Service Manager

Job Description Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Automotive Service Manager to lead our client's dealership service department with energy and enthusiasm.

If you thrive in a fast-paced setting and are passionate about automotive care, this is your opportunity to make a significant impact Duties Manage the overall operations of the service department, including scheduling, workflow, and customer interactions Manage fleet service for rapid turnaround to our clients Lead, motivate, and develop a team of service technicians and advisors to achieve high performance standards Oversee vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance including oil changes, brake repairs, transmissions, suspension work, tire services, alignments, shocks & struts, diesel engine repairs, air brake systems, and auto body repairs Ensure all services are performed accurately and efficiently while maintaining quality standards Handle customer inquiries with professionalism and transparency; resolve issues promptly to maximize satisfaction Implement upselling strategies by recommending additional services or repairs that benefit the customer while increasing revenue Manage auto estimating and service writing to accurately document repairs and communicate costs effectively Monitor inventory levels for parts and supplies necessary for daily operations Maintain compliance with safety regulations and dealership policies; conduct regular safety inspections Oversee cash handling procedures and ensure accurate financial transactions Other duties as needed Skills Proven dealership experience with comprehensive auto service management expertise - Domestic dealership experience is preferred Fleet service experience Strong mechanical knowledge across various automotive systems including transmissions, oil changes, brakes, suspensions, alignments, tire services, diesel engines, shocks & struts, air brakes, and auto body repair Skilled in automotive diagnostics to identify issues swiftly and accurately Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly Experience in auto estimating and service writing to prepare detailed repair orders Ability to upsell additional services confidently while maintaining integrity Background in mechanic work or service technician experience is highly advantageous Familiarity with automotive repair procedures including vehicle maintenance routines and specialized systems such as transmissions or diesel engines Proficiency in sales techniques related to automobile sales when applicable Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in cash handling and record keeping Join us as an Automotive Service Manager where your leadership fuels success Bring your expertise in automotive repair and management to create an engaging environment that values quality work, exceptional customer experiences, and continuous growth.
